We have been awarded funding from the Scottishpower Energy Trust to deliver an Energy Awareness Campaign.
The main aims of the project are
To raise awareness amongst the general public about healthier, warmer homes and lower fuel bills
To provide access to clear, appropriate and impartial information and advice related to fuel poverty
prove the energy efficiency of housing to achieve affordable warmth
We are looking to achieve this by providing help and advice on the following services within our advice centre
To raise awareness of what fuel poverty is
To increase incomes and reduce fuel bills via benefit health checks and applying for energy efficiency grants where appropriate
To provide assistance with debt associated with fuel poverty
To work with the local Council to identify those homes who may be hard to heat, via door knocking, and to signpost householders to energy insulation grants
To provide internet access to allow people to switch gas & electricity suppliers via price comparison switching websites
